Golden Legend Palace Hotel

The location is hard to beat, just a short walk from Hoan Kiem Lake, St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Ta Hien food street, and many other sights. Even right in the city center, the soundproofing was excellent and I slept well every night. Breakfast had lots of variety, with pho, eggs, baguettes, fresh fruit, and Vietnamese dishes that changed daily. The restaurant staff were lovely and attentive. I've been to Hanoi many times, but this was the first Old Quarter hotel that left me completely satisfied. At Golden Legend Palace Hotel, I felt welcome right away. The staff greeted me with smiles, offered a welcome drink, checked me in quickly, and were proactive about help, from booking tours and suggesting restaurants to giving directions. My room was spotless and smelled lovely, with a very comfortable bed and lighting that felt cozy but was bright enough to read or relax. For an affordable price, the service exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely return to Golden Legend Palace Hotel.

The rooms were okay. I spent four nights in two different rooms and checked in three separate times. One night the air conditioning and hot water gave me some trouble, but otherwise the stay was pleasant. The staff welcomed me warmly when I arrived, and the price was good value. Breakfast had a reasonable selection, and when we needed to check out early, the staff packed breakfast for us to take along.

The location worked well for the Old Town, and the hotel and staff were fantastic. We were here for three nights between overnight trips. The staff were so helpful, and our laundry was done twice, ready the next day. WhatsApp communication was brilliant. The rooms were clean, the WiFi excellent, and the bed super comfortable. There were even some UK channels on the TV.

I come back to this hotel whenever I'm in Hanoi. It's comfortable whether you're on your own or with others, and the rooms are smart. Breakfast is tasty, and the dining area has a nice street view. The location is very central but still quiet. Everyone is friendly and helpful, always smiling, though I don't know their names. Mai is especially kind and helpful.
