You can see the family running this place is putting in real effort. They’re renovating and trying hard to make things better, and it is improving. There have been some rough reviews, mostly from competitors saying things that aren’t true.

The building felt dark and dingy, and the location seemed strange. The rooms were filthy and dusty, the bed was dirty, there were cockroaches, and the air conditioner dripped water. There wasn’t toilet paper or soap in the bathrooms either. As young women traveling, we weren’t comfortable seeing only middle aged men staying there, and a call to our room at 12:30 AM unsettled us. We didn’t feel safe at all, especially staying alone. We paid around £12 per person, and it was absolutely not worth it. Don’t stay here.

I paid a deposit equal to two months’ rent, but it still hadn’t been returned three months after I moved out. I tried calling and messaging repeatedly, then they blocked my number. I’m now filing a complaint with the police in Ward 15. If they don’t act, I’ll take it to the district level. A bunch of scammers.

The area felt unsafe, and getting to the rooms meant coming in through the garage. The room had dust everywhere, insects, a huge spider, and used condoms under the bed. The toilet was a mess, with no toilet paper and dirty towels. We felt safer staying in Sa Pa at 3,000m. We lasted half an hour before running away. If you want a stay like the movie “Hostel,” this is the place. A V O I D at any cost!
