Horizon Suites Lakeview- By Sun Global

Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet enough that nothing disturbed my sleep. The room had a hairdryer, two bottles of water, clean towels, and shower gel and shampoo. They only take cash. We left all our belongings, including a laptop, while we went to exchange money, and everything was safe when we returned.

We stayed for almost a week on the top floor, in a spacious, clean, air-conditioned room with a balcony and a partial view of Westlake. When we went away on a three-day cruise, the hotel let us leave our big suitcases behind the reception counter, since we were coming back for one more night. The place felt secure, with a coded entrance. If the door was open, it meant the woman who works and sleeps there was around. It’s a lovely, fairly quiet neighborhood, with small cafés opposite and down the side street. A special mention for cà phê không! The hotel can also do laundry if you need it. It’s outside the very center, but still walkable and much calmer than the center. There’s no elevator. Other reviews mention noise, but we found it very minor and it didn’t affect our sleep. It comes from a bar on another street and wasn’t bothersome at all.

The staff were especially friendly, and the room was new and clean. It’s a convenient location for going to the lake, with plenty of shops and restaurants close by.
