Hotel du Parc Hanoi

The room felt a little dated and damp, though it was generally clean. I also tried the spa and had a Japanese Shiatsu Massage with Ms. Dung. She was very good, friendly, and made an effort to tailor the treatment to what I needed. Her English was limited, but I’d definitely recommend her.

We enjoyed the spacious, comfortable room and the nice lobby and dining area, even though the room felt a bit old. We stayed eight nights on the ninth floor of Hotel Du parc. The only surprise was at check-in: despite booking and paying in advance online, we were asked for 7 million VND as a security deposit. Nobody had told us beforehand, but we paid because there wasn’t another option.

Breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of tasty choices across Chinese, Japanese/Korean, Vietnamese, and some Western food. The garden-style lobby has floor-to-ceiling windows facing a tropical rainforest-inspired courtyard, and the Japanese design has a nostalgic Southeast Asian feel with lots of attention to detail. Hotel du Parc Hanoi is centrally placed for daily travel yet far enough from the city center for quiet nights. The TV has BBC, CNN, NHK, Phoenix TV, and Star TV. Some facilities are a little outdated, and I’d like the hotel to do routine fire safety checks during quiet hours, rather than maintenance when guests are bathing or resting.

We came from New Zealand and really appreciated how welcoming and helpful the staff were. They made us feel looked after, and on each of our three separate stays over two weeks, check-in was easy because they remembered us and had everything ready before we reached the counter. We’d definitely stay there again next time. Our first room was an Executive Suite, which was extremely large, with everything included in the mini bar. Breakfast was included too, and the buffet had lots of options and was very good. The regular rooms we used on the later stays were still a good size.
