J&J guest house

The check-in was a mess. Finding the place took forever because it isn't marked. The woman managing it led us into the entrance and living room, then went to check us in at another building and left before finishing. She locked the door behind her and left us stuck inside. Later I had to ask for the bike-lock code for the front porch, since her plan had been to come back and open the door in the morning without telling us how to get out ourselves. We arrived late and had to catch an early bus from a nearby station, so moving elsewhere at the last minute wasn't really possible. Otherwise we'd have left immediately. Inside, the place was filthy and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. The room was moldy and dirty too. We saw a small bug on a wall, maybe a spider or bedbug, though I'm not sure, and spent the night on the entrance couch instead of in the room. The aircon had no control, there were no water bottles or filtered fountain, the Wi-Fi didn't work, and the dispenser soap felt watered down. Almost none of the features listed on Google Maps were there. This was the filthiest, sketchiest, most run-down place I've stayed in during all my travels. It feels like a squat being illegally used as a hotel, and I strongly suspect the reviews are fake. They don't match what we found, and they also seem to be the only positive reviews for another probably connected hotel scam, prada homestay, if you want to check. Stay away. I wouldn't stay there even if I were paid. I usually only review the occasional outstanding place, but had to make an exception to warn other travelers.
