Kegon Inn

The room feels like home now, with good facilities and daily cleaning from a cheerful team. Kegon is handy for work and close enough to the old quarter for a day off. I’m in Hanoi at least once a year, and the staff always look out for me. I really enjoy seeing them again, and nothing seems too much trouble. Thanks so much, Ms Binh and your amazing team. See you again soon.

The breakfast was so delicious, and the stay was five stars for me. Tourists should come and experience it!

The windows we were told about turned out to be openings onto a dark shaft, which was misleading. We booked two rooms for five nights after reading good recommendations, but one door couldn't be locked and the other room had apparently been used for smoking. We asked to move. The receptionist said they weren't authorized, and the manager refused to speak with us. Later, the sales manageress said by phone she saw no reason to act. About two hours later, a front office manager came by and said he couldn't smell anything, although three other people, including the receptionist, could. There were supposedly no other rooms, so the front office manager offered to refund what we'd paid and told us to find another hotel ourselves at 19:00. It felt like he was trying to put us out on the street. That isn't customer-oriented service, and it left me wondering where the positive recommendations come from. During our time in Vietnam, we found that some hotels and restaurants seem to push guests for good recommendations, sometimes offering discounts for them. After this experience, I can't recommend booking at Kegon Hotel. Hands off.

The location is great, and the room was clean for an affordable price. I wasn't keen on the parking area.
