We booked through Agoda, but the room we got was nothing like what we'd booked. It was dirty and so run-down that I worried you could catch something there. They wouldn't refund us, so we'll report them to Agoda. Please don't stay in this dump.
The place was so dirty and smelled awful. Dust and hair covered the bed, dirt was caked on the furniture, and the door looked like someone had forced it open. It was loose whenever I opened or closed it. The room also looked nothing like the photos, even though I'd messaged the owner beforehand to ask for a matching room and they agreed. When I arrived, there wasn't even a staff member to help me. It was a hot summer day, and they put me in a stifling attic room. The air conditioning couldn't keep up, and when I asked to have it cleaned, I was told there was no cleaning service and I had to do it myself. At 310k VND a night, it was worse than a motel and a total waste of money. Horrifying. I'm telling everyone who books through Agoda and ends up here to leave straight away.
The room was spacious, but the damp, moldy walls were peeling, the furniture was filthy, and the sewage smell was overwhelming. Even scented candles couldn't cover it. At 510,000 VND per room per night for my three-day, two-night booking, the hygiene was awful for the price. It felt worse than an ordinary rental room, and I wouldn't complain about renting a room in itself, but this was my experience with their service. There was no reception or professional support, just a security guard who opened the door. The room was poorly equipped, without even slippers, so I had to ask someone to bring some. It was upstairs, while downstairs some elderly people were using what seemed to be Korean-style beds, which made coming and going during the day inconvenient and smelly. When my friend visited on the second day, we couldn't park there and had to pay extra to park at neighboring houses. I contacted them on the first day to request another room. They said all the others were taken, except for one at the back of the house. I saw it and it was even worse, old and damp like an abandoned house. Absolutely terrible.
We were four people and booked through booking, expecting just a clean room. The photos looked okay, but the whole stay turned into a disaster. Our flight was delayed, so we got there at 1am and found the door locked. The staff member said he wasn't there, and the security guard was asleep. We were told to enter the key code ourselves, but he couldn't remember it exactly and hadn't explained how to open the door. We ended up asking our taxi driver to help us get in. We were exhausted, so we slept there one night despite the dirty, smelly entrance, room, and bathroom, with cockroaches running around and dust everywhere. We were worried the whole time. The next day we moved to room 3, but it had a leak and an unreliable door lock. Since we couldn't get a refund, we asked to switch again and ended up on the seventh floor. It was still dirty and dusty. The toilet wasn't clogged, but filling it with water took ages, and the Wi-Fi showed full bars but didn't work. By then, we just let it go. I hope people read this carefully and don't have the same bad experience.
I booked through Agoda, but when I arrived they said they were full and sent me away without a refund or taking any responsibility. I called the staff, and they hung up on me instead of sorting it out.
