Luxor Boutique Hotel

Le, the young woman at the Luxor front desk, was so helpful and gave us five-star service. She explained everything when we arrived and even switched rooms for my friend, who was bothered by noise from other guests on his floor. The staff were so nice, and I’d definitely stay again for them, the cleanliness, and the convenience. There’s a good coffee shop just a few minutes around the corner. Fuji Mart is nearby for snacks or whatever you need, and there’s a local pho place right next to it, about a 30-second walk away. The location is excellent, and I had a really, really great stay.

The breakfast buffet was a 10/10, and don’t miss the pho. Service was lovely, and our room was fairly clean and roomy. The room floor didn’t seem to have been cleaned, though, and the bathtub and shower need a major upgrade. That’s what brought it down from five stars to four.

The room was big and clean, and staying here worked out perfectly for us. It’s outside the Old Quarter, but a Grab there took just 10 minutes and cost 30-40k VND. We preferred that over another unhygienic hotel in the city for the same budget. When Agoda canceled our booking as we arrived, the manager and front desk staff handled the problem well. Special thanks to Ms. Vu Thi Hai Ly, the female counter staff member on the afternoons of 28/11 and 29/11. She was very friendly and professional. This was our best hotel experience in Hanoi.

The place is older than many hotels that have been refurbished, but it’s tidy, clean, and well kept. The room was spacious, and the location is superb, so it’s easy to head out and enjoy the city and still come back to a comfortable place to rest. We weren’t really in a friendly mood during our stay and didn’t smile much, but the service was still proper. Staff paid attention without being intrusive, and it was nice not to feel awkward about not smiling. Surprisingly decent hotel.
