Mad Monkey Hanoi - Hostel

Mad Monkey was a lot of fun for the few nights I stayed. The team made us feel welcome, the cocktails were surprisingly good, and the entertainment was great. I especially loved the drag scene here, and the show hosted by Wet Dynasty was amazing.

The best part of my stay was the four-day Ha Giang Loop tour. The riders were so friendly and the people were amazing. I can’t really put into words how incredible the experience was, and I highly recommend the tour. Huge thanks to our guide Peyton for doing such a fantastic job. I miss the group so much! The location was great too, and the bedrooms were cosy. Mot hai bah yooooooooo!

Such a cool concept, with cheap, clean rooms and easygoing people. It was a fun time, though this place could turn you into an alcoholic if you aren’t one already, hahaha. Bring earplugs, and remember to shower every day so you’re not the reason the room smells like 🍑. The reps and volunteers are all chill. Shout-out to Lilly, you’re the sweetest!

I had a lovely 2 weeks at the hostel. Great nightlife, with events every night and a pub crawl afterwards. We also did Halong Bay and the Ha Giang Loop through the hostel group, and I couldn’t recommend those more. James may not be great at beer pong, but he’s brilliant at putting on fun events and making everyone feel welcome. Would recommend.
