May de Ville Crown Hotel

Breakfast was a highlight, with a generous range of fresh, nicely presented local and international dishes. We also found the hotel comfortable after long days out: the rooms are spacious, well equipped, very clean, and have an especially comfortable bed. The location made getting around Hanoi easy, with attractions, restaurants, and the Old Quarter nearby. The building itself is modern and beautiful, and the staff were friendly, professional, and ready to help from the moment we arrived. May De Ville Crown Hotel exceeded what we expected. I’d happily stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Vietnam.

Even with all the April humidity, the pool was a lovely place to cool off. We were also impressed by how quiet our room was, considering the busy neighborhood. My sister and I arrived late on our first night in Hanoi and were greeted kindly by the helpful staff. The hotel is well placed for exploring the Old Quarter, near a main road that makes getting here from the airport easy, while still being convenient for the more pleasant walking streets. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The rooftop was a real plus, with a clean pool and a bar that has happy hour. We also enjoyed the spa, which was easy to book through reception and discounted for hotel guests. We stayed three nights and found the room clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and attentive. Check-in went smoothly, with a welcome drink and helpful tips on food, no-fee ATMs, and local tours. The location is ideal for shopping, meals, drinks, and cash machines.

We picked this hotel for its spot in the middle of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, and it was easy to walk to food, drinks, shops, and the lake. Train Street, Hoan Kiem Lake and Turtle Tower, the Temple of Literature, the Imperial Citadel, and plenty of other sights are within walking distance. The French Quarter is walkable too, with its historic hotels and colonial-era buildings from the mid-1800s. The room was on the small side, and street noise carried on until around midnight each night. Housekeeping supplied comfortable, useful earplugs for the late-night revelers. The bedding was comfortable, and the bathroom’s large tub felt luxurious. There’s also a nice rooftop pool and bar.
