Mr Sun Hotel - Travel

After a long trip elsewhere, we left some bags here, then came back with only a few hours before our night bus. They let us rent a room for an hour so we could shower before setting off again, which was really helpful. It’s good value and close to the city centre. I’d recommend it, keeping in mind there are only four rooms.

The street has hotels, but also people going about their day, eating and shopping, so we liked getting a bit of a local feel. It’s a short walk to the lake and wet market. If you’re jet-lagged and up early, there’s plenty to watch. Sophie at the front desk was a kind, helpful person and a lovely friendly face to see each day.

The bike rental was fair and useful, and there’s a good waiting area if your bus isn’t leaving until the evening. Customer service was very good.

I had booked and prepaid for a room, and I had the confirmation with me. When I arrived, they said the place was full and my name wasn’t on the list. I had to find somewhere else to stay, and I never got my money back. Very unserious and unprofessional.
