The hotel looked lovely when we arrived, but the foyer ended up being the highlight. The room was tiny, with a wet room bathroom, and the only place to open our suitcases was on the bed. We don't spend much time in our room, so the bed being reasonably comfortable was okay. The bathroom was cramped too, and the water pressure was so poor that if you're over 5’, the main shower is useless and you have to use the handheld one. The location was pretty good, in a residential area with lots of good restaurants nearby. Grab couldn't seem to find the hotel, but we had no trouble getting rides from the alley next door, on the main road. There weren't many coffee shops around, so for breakfast we usually went to the Old Quarter, about $2 AUD by Grab. Tour companies also wouldn't pick us up at the hotel, so we made our way to the Old Quarter, which worked fine. The fridge losing power when you take the room key out of its holder was one of the biggest annoyances. After a full day exploring Hanoi, we didn't want to come back to warm drinks. There were ants around the rooms too, seemingly everywhere. Keep food in the fridge, as that seemed to be the only safe spot. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. The rooftop pool was good, but there isn't much seating beside it. If someone else is in the pool, you'll end up sitting in the restaurant's alfresco area. The staff were very friendly, but sometimes seemed to lack common sense. They brought our laundry to the door at midnight with a knock, even though we'd said we'd collect it in the morning. On our first night, we got the ice and bucket we asked for, then the next night were told they had no ice. They refilled the glass mineral water bottles one day, then took them away the next without replacing them. They also left our wine glasses dirty instead of swapping them for clean ones.

The receptionist was the only bright spot. I don't know the young man's name, but he mistakenly gave us a Standard room instead of the Deluxe we'd booked. When I went back downstairs to show him, he apologized sincerely several times and quickly got us the right room. He was polite and professional. The rest of the hotel was very disappointing and not worth the price. It was extremely dirty, as if it hadn't had a proper cleaning since it was built. Even after we specifically asked for housekeeping, the thick dust in the room was left untouched. The facilities also looked outdated and poorly maintained, with many details that made the claim of a 2025 renovation hard to believe. Breakfast was another major letdown. Arrive even an hour before closing and there will probably be almost no food left. The dishes were empty and not replenished. I'm sure a newer, much better hotel can be found for the same price.

The room was big and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. There's a rooftop pool, and breakfast is a small buffet that's perfectly adequate. The hotel sits about 2000m from the Old Quarter, a little outside the center, where you can experience authentic Hanoi right on your doorstep. It's currently being renamed the Nature Hotel. I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

GREAT HOTEL. The rooms are clean, cozy, and well maintained, and the staff were great too. I'll definitely come back. Many thanks ✨

The pool was very cold, and the whole pool area was a bit messy. Breakfast was a letdown, and there was no bar on site despite it being listed. The location wasn't ideal, and the staff were hit and miss. The plumbing was the traditional Vietnamese system rather than the more modern kind.
