Ms. Hau, the housekeeper, took great care of us and was friendly and helpful. Guests staying at least two nights can also use the free laundry and drying service, which was a big plus. We spent two nights at NB Apartment Kim Ma, left our luggage while we went on a three-day tour, then came back for another three nights. The elevator made handling our bags easy, and check-in was quick. Our room was spacious, clean, and well equipped, with good AC and steady Wi-Fi. There’s cookware in the kitchen too, which made it easy to prepare food like we would at home. I’d choose this place again if I return to Hanoi.

We stayed at NB Apartment Kim Ma for three nights, Dec 26-29, and it was our first time choosing a serviced apartment instead of a hotel. The owner’s contact details came with the booking, and they were responsive on Zalo. There’s no normal reception, just a small sign-in spot. On arrival, ring the bell, then get in with a card or fingerprint. Water is self-service from a lobby filter. For fresh towels, put the used ones in the receptacle by the door before 11 am. The apartment is down a narrow alley, which was a new experience for us, but it was quiet at night and conveniently located. The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is walkable if you wear comfortable shoes. The unit is spacious and well equipped for a couple, with more storage than you could need. The mattress was quite hard, though I understand that may be common in North Vietnam. Kitchen basics include a microwave, induction cooker, rice cooker, and crockery, and there are plenty of outlets. There are some basic upkeep problems. We found hairs in the bed, which was disappointing. The bathroom has a large shower, but the showerhead was old and rusty, with weak water pressure. The basin was grimy, and the towels were dull grey and uneven in quality. There’s no actual window with an outside view, only a railed area for hanging clothes. For the price, cleanliness should still be a priority. It’s a spacious place in a good location, but the bathroom and general cleanliness need significant improvement to meet basic standards.

I spent two weeks here and was fully satisfied. The Airbnb host was great, and the housekeeper was amazing. The AC worked perfectly, and there’s secure bike parking downstairs. For a balcony, ask for a *02 room. A *01 doesn’t face the street with a window, which I actually preferred. It’s quieter and still gets daylight. The wife is good too, just not as fast.

I found the apartment great value for money, and if I come back to Hanoi, it’ll be my first choice. It’s in a serviced area near the old town. The place was very clean and quiet, ideal for sleeping, and the staff were helpful and friendly. There’s unlimited free drinking water on the ground floor. The mattress is a bit hard, but nothing unusual.

Everything we needed was in the room, which was modern and very clean. The service felt organized and professional, a surprise for me. At a reasonable price, this is the closest I’ve experienced in Vietnam to a Western-style hotel for its look and cleanliness. Some nice restaurants and cafes are within walking distance, and a taxi gets you to the main points of interest fairly quickly.
