The location was great, but we’ll never come back. We only stayed for a few hours, and that was enough. The room was dirty and poorly maintained, with old furniture and an awful mattress that was painful to lie on. The fridge was full of hair, the most disgusting fridge I’ve seen in a rental. The bathroom was ugly, and the towels looked years old. There’s no lift, just a narrow, steep staircase. We had booked and paid for a junior suite, but when we arrived they only had superior rooms left. The receptionist was helpful, though at first she tried to put us in the cheaper room even though we’d paid more. The whole place looked like it hadn’t been properly managed for years.

For 490k dong, there are much better hotels. This budget hotel isn’t the best in its class, and it wasn’t worth the price. The photos looked dated and didn’t reflect the current condition. The place doesn’t seem well maintained. In our first-floor room, a water pump in the toilet was loud, so I asked to change rooms. We moved to the second floor to an upgraded room, which cost more. It was big, but had unnecessarily large cabinets. I’m not sure the room had been cleaned after the previous guest, since there were cigarette packs and rubbish on the bathroom drawers. Maybe the place has lost its glory, and it’s time for a renovation or a staff change so it can be maintained properly.

For over 700,000 VND a night, I expected more than a bare room with no services. The room smelled awful, and there was neither Wi-Fi nor phone signal. It was terrible.
