OYO 317 Kim Cuong Hotel 2

The room was filthy, and the owner was rude. I paid what a decent room in the center would cost, so I expected something at least reasonably nice. I arrived late in the evening and found the host taking her child and a blanket out of my room. It looked as if they'd expected me not to show up and had been using it themselves. The bed looked slept in, but when I asked about it, the owner rudely denied it. There were stains all over the bathroom sink and mirror, mold everywhere, and dust and other dirt on the floor and furniture. I was appalled and left. Two days later, the hotel still hadn't responded to my refund request through the platform. They'd also never answered my messages before I arrived. Appalling and disgusting, I can't find a better word. Do yourself a favor and don't book unless you're willing to risk getting sick.

The room was old and had cockroaches. The place is cheap, and that's reflected in the low rates. There was no TV or kitchen. It's tucked behind an alley in a remote area, with no restaurants within walking distance. Drivers had a hard time finding it, and I didn't feel safe walking there at night. I wouldn't stay again.

The alley location was tucked away enough that it could be hard to find after dark. The room itself was clean and decent, and we were comfortable with the bed and bathroom. We only figured out later that the hot water needs a switch outside the bathroom turned on.

I sometimes got back late at night as a foreigner, and the owner didn't like it. The room was good, but I didn't feel free to do what I wanted at this hostel.
