Rosa Hanoi Hotel

There was a horrible damp smell in the room, and it stayed for all four days, even with the AC on dry mode the whole time. Air freshener did nothing. Everything felt wet, including the sheets and mattress, and the bathroom was in awful shape, with mold and dirt everywhere. The window was broken and wouldn't shut, probably adding to the humidity along with the lack of care. During our three night stay, the room wasn't cleaned and the towels weren't changed. The building itself is really nice, which makes it a shame. With proper upkeep, it could be a lovely hotel. The staff were kind, though they spoke very little English. We still managed to arrange laundry for 20k/Kg. It was handled by an outside service, came back on time, and smelled very nice. The room also had a very good projector, and it's close to a street full of restaurants.

We liked it enough to go away for a while and then return to Hotel Rosa. The street is very quiet, and the hotel is smart, in excellent condition, and run efficiently and conveniently. Everything in our room worked well, and the sheets and towels were good quality. The location is especially handy if you don't want to stay in Hanoi's tourist center. Buses nearby go in every direction, and there are probably hundreds of restaurants within a 12 minute walk.

I booked the executive suite, with lovely decor, a TV, AC, office desk, accent chair, and mini fridge. The bed was so comfortable, the pillows really soft, and my first night here was some of the best sleep I've had in months of traveling. For what it offers, the price is very low. There's an elevator, free water, and someone at the front desk 24 hours a day to help with whatever you need. The staff are kind and on top of things. When I headed out to explore today, someone asked if I wanted room service. I came back to a spotless, beautiful room that smelled AMAZING, with the bed made, fresh towels, and water, coffee, and chips restocked. After almost five months traveling around Southeast Asia, this is one of the best hotels I've stayed at. I honestly wouldn't mind living here.

The staff were wonderful and happy to help. The rooms are comfortable, and the high street is really close.
