VietHOME - 22 Pho Hue - Apartment 702

I stayed in Room 602 for three nights and four days and was very satisfied. It’s a pleasant, quiet spot, a reasonable distance from the Old Town. The duplex room suited my need for three beds and had two bathrooms with showers and two large TVs. There’s an elevator, and you can dry laundry on the first floor. Airport pickup and drop-off are available, but the owner calls a driver to arrange a taxi, and you have to pay cash. I’d just take a Grab taxi to get there.

We stayed on the fifth floor in room 501. The nearby buildings block the city view, which wasn’t a problem for us since we hardly spent time in the apartment. The location is good, with plenty of useful places nearby. The grocery store is a bit of a walk, though grocery delivery is no problem. VietHOME was our eighth place to stay during a little over a month in Vietnam, and it was a fitting final stop. The old part of the city has grown in a rather spontaneous way, but that gives it an authentic charm. You enter the fenced grounds through a narrow passage from the street, passing a private house on the left. We appreciated the residents’ friendly attitude, daily apartment cleaning, and towel changes, even though the towels were a little dated. There’s an elevator and a laundry room on the ground floor with a washer and dryer.

This hotel is awful.
