We stayed for three days and found the rooms a little small, but the location was ideal for getting around Hanoi. The staff and amenities more than made up for that. Everyone was warm, considerate, and accommodating, and the food was great. My roommate is vegan and has a gluten allergy, while I'm vegetarian. They made sure every meal worked for our dietary needs. Check-in and checkout were smooth, and they helped plan our Ha Long Bay trip, which turned out perfectly. I'd highly recommend this place.

The staff made the biggest difference during our two-night stay. Grace, her colleague Susan, and the rest of the team went out of their way to help each day, offer travel advice, and sort out any concerns. Susan found us a great deal on a cruise to Ha Long Bay with a premium boat, and the cabin cost was much lower than what vendors in Hanoi were charging. It may be worth asking the front desk about cruise prices. Breakfast was excellent, with buffet items and hot dishes to order in both Western and Eastern styles. The food was so good that I think we'll miss having pho every morning at home. The hotel is a pleasant boutique place in the old town, close to the lake and the main sights. We thought we'd need a gym and pool, but spent most of our time out exploring, so this hotel was just what we needed for two nights.

Solaria was the first of many hotels we stayed at while traveling in Vietnam, and we remember it fondly. Grace deserves a special mention for going above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. She also looked after my partner's needs because of her lactose intolerance. The customer service was among the best we've had in Vietnam, and we'd recommend the hotel.

Oliver, Lily, and the whole team looked after us so well from the moment we arrived. Staff were always ready to help, share advice, and make us feel welcome. The lake is only a 30-second walk away, and the heart of the old quarter is a few minutes further. Breakfast, included with our stay, was really good each morning. We had a fantastic three-night visit and would highly recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Hanoi.

The rooftop bar has a lovely relaxed vibe, and breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Even as plant-based eaters, we found fresh, flavorful options. Hotel Solaria is beautifully finished inside and sits in a very convenient spot in the Old Quarter. Although it's central, the side street is quiet, easy to access, safe, and relaxing. The staff were kind and attentive, always offering useful advice and solutions. Extra thanks to Daria for her tips and help. Highly recommend! Aga and Moriel
