The bed was the one downside, too hard and felt like I was lying on a spring. Otherwise, I had a very good stay. Service was great, restaurants are nearby, and it was quick to get a taxi to places around Hanoi.

It's a quiet, older hotel in that area, and the price is cheap. The staff seemed quite lazy, so don't expect much beyond a bed to sleep in. The restaurant was ordinary too, though it could work for a small gathering or a wedding party with fewer than 100 people.

The room stayed hot day and night because the old air conditioner wouldn't cool it. The bed was rock hard, like a wooden board. Drilling upstairs went on for hours, probably tile being torn up, and drove us out of the room to avoid a piercing migraine. After we returned at 9pm, people partied and yelled in the hallway until midnight. There were mosquitoes in the room, and at 4am, when we got up for the airport, a random drunk guy was still hanging around outside our door, apparently ready to make more noise. Worst hotel I've stayed in here.

The room was large and clean, but the bed felt like lying on wood, and there were lots of mosquitoes. Breakfast was just okay, with few options and much the same food each day.
