Spring Hotel Hanoi

Our family room was in awful shape: mold or fungus on the ceiling, water marks on the walls, and little bits of hair on the supposedly unused pillows. None of the electrical devices were plugged in, and the lamps didn't work. A family member was having breathing problems because of the fungus, but when we asked to move, they told us to wait a day because the rooms were full. I understand that rooms can be unavailable, but this one was disgusting, and we're frantically looking for somewhere else to stay. The family rooms are on the eighth floor with no lift. We had to haul five bags up the stairs, helped by their only available staff member besides the receptionist. It's in a slightly dirty residential area, a 30-minute drive from the main city. The online reviews feel misleading. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

We loved how beautiful the hotel was, just as we'd imagined from the artistic decor in the Agoda photos. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was delicious, and we appreciated the two packs of earplugs by the bed. But nearby construction made it impossible to enjoy the stay properly. Before booking, we asked the owner repeatedly whether the noise was still an issue because we'd seen reviews about construction. The reply assured us the hotel was very quiet and livable. Instead, deafening work went on every day from early morning until late at night, and my family and I couldn't sleep peacefully. I spent four very restless days there and felt cheated. I'm not trying to hurt the hotel by sharing this. I hope they'll treat people like human beings and improve things beyond the beautiful decor. We stayed for four days in early January 2025, and the booking record can be checked if needed. I had contacted the hotel about the noise before reserving, so finding it was still happening was especially disappointing and sad. I'm not complaining about the hotel itself.

A charming, cozy hotel with lovely decor, but it's far from everything in a dull neighborhood. Our room was great, though its only window looked into a light well. Breakfast on the top floor could've been amazing, but there was no food left an hour before service ended. The staff were nice and helpful.

The room was reasonably spacious and clean, and the basic breakfast was fine for what you pay. I wasn't comfortable with the lack of natural light on level two. The hotel sits on a small street and was a bit hard to find when I arrived in the evening. Since it's away from the tourist area, there aren't many food options nearby.
