Thomas spoke good English and, together with his wife, worked hard to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. We really enjoyed our stay at this guesthouse. Breakfast’s club sandwich was filling and scrumptious, and coffee and tea were always available in the foyer. Thomas kept bottled water in the fridge as well as at room temperature. The building itself is old and simple, but our room had a balcony overlooking the street, which made us feel part of Hanoi’s old quarter. The location was great for walking to popular places like the lake and market. When we needed a taxi, Thomas or his wife would call one, and it arrived very quickly. It was excellent value for money for a traveler on any budget.
