The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and quick to answer all my questions before we arrived. They even put together a small birthday surprise in the room, which was such a sweet touch. Our family room was spacious enough and comfortable for our group, and the location is handy for Ben Thanh Market, malls, massage shops, and restaurants. They also cleaned it daily. We paid around €600 for 5 nights, so we expected more from the facilities. The hotel feels old for the price, breakfast choices were limited, and noise came through the walls, including screaming kids and banging doors. We felt itchy at night, possibly from the bed covers, and the duvet covers weren’t changed during our stay. There was a sewage smell when we returned on the second day, but staff came quickly to spray air freshener. The Wi-Fi didn’t work the first night either, though reception fixed it after we reported it. Nice location and amazing people, but the condition and cleanliness need work for that price.

This was advertised as a 4 star hotel with a 24 hour front desk, but it really wasn’t as described. The bathroom had mold and old towels, while the hallways by the rooms were dark and dingy despite the nice front desk area. Both when I arrived and when I checked out, staff were literally asleep, stretched out on the lobby couches. The jacuzzi and sauna were closed for construction, even though an email the day before said they were working. There was loud banging from upstairs renovations, and construction debris was left in the building’s only elevator. My “City View” was a small window. For what I paid, I’ve stayed in much nicer hotels in other parts of Vietnam. I definitely don’t recommend it.

The staff were the one thing I appreciated, they were very helpful. The room was a real disappointment, though. We first booked a family room, but the floor was filthy and the toilet was broken. We paid to upgrade to a VIP room, expecting better, but at that price it was worse. The floor was still so dirty that my white socks turned black when I walked without slippers. The shower pressure was extremely low and didn’t work properly. There was nowhere to put or hang clothes in the toilet area, and the shampoo and gel dispensers were broken. The hotel clearly isn’t being maintained.

The location was great, the room setup suited us with two kids, and we enjoyed the very good breakfast. But dust was noticeable throughout the room, and the condition and cleanliness fell short. The worst part was the strong sewer smell from the bathroom. It was almost unbearable, and spraying perfume barely diluted it. It stayed unpleasant, especially with young children. There were ants everywhere too, which made the room uncomfortable. Despite the good location and breakfast, the hygiene and room condition made this a poor stay. I wouldn’t recommend Adora Hotel.

The staff were consistently warm and welcoming. The bellman greeted us and held the door whenever we came and went, and helped with our luggage. The breakfast buffet had a good variety and ran for reasonable hours. During my birthday visit, the hotel surprised us with a lovely setup on the bed, even though we hadn’t mentioned it. The location is convenient, with many attractions nearby. Our VIP Room was on the ground floor and had no windows, one bathroom and toilet, and no separate rooms. It was one large space with three big beds and a sofa. We hadn’t expected that layout, but it ended up working well for family time and chatting together. For six people, though, it could feel stuffy, and we had to take turns for the shower and toilet. More bathroom facilities would have helped. You can pay an extra $50USD/night for a VIP room on the top floor, but the only difference is a window and city view, which didn’t seem worth that much to me. We enjoyed the stay. This hotel suits travelers who spend most of the day out exploring and mainly come back to shower and sleep. I’d suggest adding more showers or bathrooms for larger groups.
