Grand Sea Hotel

The hotel looks lovely, but the staff’s attitude ruined the stay for me. I work in customer service, and I wouldn’t keep a job if I treated customers this way. For what I paid, it wasn’t worth it. If you only care about looks, book here. Otherwise, I’d choose somewhere that values its guests. I stayed three nights in a Junior Suite with a balcony. The room was spotless and amazing, and the bath was beautiful, but the water never got hot enough. I had to boil the kettle several times to get the temperature up. The tap sent water over the edge of the tub and onto the floor, so filling it from the showerhead took forever. At check-in, I waited about five minutes while the receptionist seemed busy, though she was actually on her phone. She gave me a key and only mentioned which floor breakfast was on. I had to manage my own luggage and find the room myself. During the stay, no one greeted me, smiled, or spoke to me, apart from one kind man in the elevator who said hello. I badly rolled my ankle and politely asked for ice for the injury at 4 p.m. The response was, “restaurant closed, no ice.” There wasn’t any concern or suggestion about where I could get ice, so I hobbled off. Breakfast was bland, limited, and rarely replenished. I tried it once and didn’t eat there again. At checkout, the staff agreed to hold my luggage for the day, which I appreciated. But when I returned to collect it, the receptionist ignored me for several minutes while watching videos on her phone. She didn’t say goodbye or thank me for staying, and didn’t smile. She looked annoyed that I was there interrupting her videos. I tried to find an email address to contact the hotel privately before posting this, but every address I found bounced back. It’s such a shame, because the hotel itself is beautiful.
