I live in Can Thanh and come here to get away from home. The restaurant is pretty good, and the setting is beautiful. It seems the place was once very nice, but it looks quite run down now. Room rates are unbelievably cheap.

There’s no access to the beach because it’s all fenced off by a resort. You can’t enjoy the beach unless you book a resort hotel, and that hotel is far away. The beach itself isn’t even decent, with garbage all along it.

The pool was okay, but there was no shade, and the lounge chair I picked was broken, propped up like it was just for show. Our toilet was broken too. We told them, but it wasn’t fixed, so each time we used it we had to take off the lid and put the float device back on its stick, or it would keep flushing forever. WiFi was absolute garbage, the restaurant was so expensive, and the included breakfast buffet was terrible. Better to get fresh seafood at the market across the street. It’s an okay enough place for a weekend getaway, but expect nothing and you might be pleasantly surprised.

A quiet motorbike getaway from Saigon. The place was clean and maintained, and the resort has a clean pool. The beach is right next to it, though it’s littered; you can still swim in some areas. Fresh seafood is cheap at the market across the street.
