The location was fine, but management was a disaster. I had to keep chasing them in the inbox just to get check-in information, and communication was terrible. Check-in was the worst I’ve experienced. There’s no elevator, only stairs, and no place to store luggage. The bathroom was filthy and felt like it hadn’t been cleaned at all. Don’t waste your money here.

The location is good, but the room was bad and we had no hot water. Whenever anyone in the building turned on water, a loud machine started on the roof and made it impossible to sleep. Someone in another unit could turn on a tap at 2 am and wake you up. At least the aircon was dripping when we arrived and they got it fixed that same day.

Getting around from here was convenient, since most attractions are within walking distance. The room was another matter. The bed cover had lots of stains, there was a spiderweb on the ceiling, an uncovered cable hanging down, and leftovers in the fridge from what I think was the previous guest. It was quite dirty. This is self check-in: they send you a code and you take the key from in front of the door. There’s no daily cleaning, and they charge for each cleaning you request. There’s no elevator either, so if you’re on the third floor, you get to carry your luggage up the stairs. At first, it can be hard to get help if the lady at the bookstore isn’t there, since the number listed can’t be reached from an international phone.

The room was spacious enough for a separate sitting, drinking, and cooking area, apart from the bedroom. The bathroom was fine, and the window let in plenty of light, though I had some concern about privacy from outside. I’d give the room four stars. The location is very convenient, close to restaurants, bars, and a Family Mart, so five stars for that. The hotel is tucked on the second and third floors of a building with Xu food, a Korean restaurant, on the first floor. You have to go down to the parking lot to take the stairs up to your room. Check-in is self-service. I gave that part two stars because without local help, you may struggle with the online process for a while.
