I liked getting a local’s view of the city at this place, a little off the beaten path. The room was perfect, and the stay felt like a different perspective on the city. The host impressed me most. Nearly 10 months after I left a pair of sandals behind, they hand delivered them to a friend of mine to bring back to me. They’re accommodating and have great recommendations for food and attractions. I’d definitely stay again.

The owner was friendly and helpful. I texted to say I’d be checking in late while stuck in traffic, and he waited for me. The room was clean and comfortable, like being at home. The place is in District 5, near the supermarket, markets and pagodas.

I’ve stayed at Lua's Cozy Private Home twice, for a few weeks each time: Dec 2022-Jan 2023 and Mar 2023-Apr 2023. It’s been a very good fit for me. The area has plenty of places to eat and pick up everyday things, and the rooms have what I need, with comfortable beds in the Asian style. The property is clean and secure. Minh has always been friendly and professional, and clearly cares about guests feeling comfortable and enjoying their time in Saigon. I’d recommend staying here and plan to return. We felt at home here, even though it was kilometeeeers from home. The guest house is in the city’s Chinatown, with little shops and markets where you can eat cheaply; buses or scooters make it convenient to reach the city center, about 20 minutes by bus. Our room was spacious, clean, and just like the photos, with lovely modern decor. The shower is out on the balcony, haha, and was clean too. Bring your own shampoo and shower gel. There’s no kitchen, but shared fridges, a microwave, and other things are available. Minh was such a considerate, friendly host, always ready to help with trip suggestions or nearby restaurants. We loved our stay.
