EROS Hotel.

My plans for the day got thrown into chaos by the hours I lost changing rooms, and the hotel didn’t seem to care or try to make it right. The place was extremely dirty and in poor condition. I had to move rooms twice, the complimentary water tasted awful, and the kettle couldn’t be used. Not what a backpacker needs. In response to the owner’s comment: 1. You’ve got this mixed up. I never asked for a particular luxury room, just one that was clean and usable. 2. I didn’t get a major discount through Agoda. 3. You gave us two rooms that weren’t usable. Please don’t say you tried “so hard” to make amends, because you didn’t. 4. I appreciate the staff members we dealt with directly. I’m disappointed with the hotel. A room upgrade or some money back was the least it could have done, and this situation shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Please stop trying to talk your way out of it and accept this honest review for what it is.

The room looked great in the online listing, but when I got there, there were cockroaches under the loveseat. The tub itself was bright white, yet the water turned yellow when I tried draining it for a bath. The service was poor, from the staff to the room. I booked the Japan Luxury room online after being told that a two-hour check-in cost 360k, with two additional hours available for a reasonable price. At checkout I was about 45 minutes over, and staff asked me for another 400k. When I asked why, they said a four-hour overstay would be charged at the regular rate, and that this had been clearly stated in the booking message. I checked the message again and it wasn’t there. The total came to the same as the daily overnight rate. At hotels or restaurants, staff usually call before checkout to ask whether you’re staying longer and remind you of the deadline. Here, they stayed quiet and then said they’d forgotten. The staff didn’t seem properly trained.
