G9 Homestay

The manager helped me switch to a room with a desk so I could work, and I really appreciated the effort. I slept well in the quiet room, with good curtains and a great mattress. The location works well too, with bars and coffee shops about a 5-10 minute walk away.

I was surprised how little street noise reached the room in HCMC, and it was very clean with good cooling and useful tech. The market street location made a nice starting and ending point for the day, and attractions were an easy walk or Grab ride away. My flight was delayed, but staff were flexible and came to help me check in. One snag was checkout and bag storage: the downstairs cafe/bar was closed, though staff let me leave my bags in the room until someone could come and store them.

There’s a lot of value here for the price. The hosts gave plenty of suggestions, service was incredible, and the large rooms were clean and comfortable. I had a street-facing room and still managed to sleep, though it can get noisy at night and in the morning. Earplugs or a room at the back might be a good idea.

The location is prime, with loads of restaurants nearby, and they even point you toward good places to eat. Daniel and Leon came through at the last minute and arranged a tour to Cu Chi Tunnel for us. They were friendly, helpful, and ready to assist with everything we needed. We were extremely happy with the hospitality.
