Gia Huyen Hotel

I felt cheated by the way they handled the charge, and the night ended up being really unpleasant. I had booked for Friday night, with check-in at 10 PM, and made the booking at 6 PM. They charged me 400,000 VND, though the posted rate was 300,000 VND per night, which was already 100,000 VND more than the actual overnight rate. Staff said the price was based on when I reserved the room, even though the hotel was very empty. I was disappointed and won't be coming back.

I'm from the provinces, and this was a frightening one-night stay. The receptionists spoke to me like fishmongers at a market. One star is already generous. I'd give zero if I could.

The air conditioner rattled all night, so I couldn't sleep. My overnight booking was made through the hotel's hotline, and the price was higher than on the app. The staff member never explained the rate, so I didn't know until I saw the board at the hotel. They said it was charged by the day because they had to hold the reservation. Why should holding an overnight booking mean a full day's charge? I wonder whether the owner knows about this. This was awful, and unless the owner fixes it, I doubt people will feel safe booking here again.

The receptionists were very disrespectful. While I was staying there, police came into my room for what they called an administrative check, then searched it and rummaged through all my things. It was so annoying, and I still don't know what was going on at the hotel.
