HANZ Bao Long Hotel

It’s handy that LotteMart is right across the road, just a quick crossing away. The room itself felt old and dirty, though. There was dust on the complimentary bottled water, and I doubt they cleaned the room every day. I also saw a cockroach run under the bed, and the nights were noisy.

The price was reasonable, and the location suited us for trying local food, with lots of places along the road and a mall across from the hotel. The mall has a large supermarket upstairs on the second floor, plus food, pharmacy, and clothing shops on the ground floor. The room TV had Netflix and YouTube. We stayed three nights as a family. The room was basic but clean, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. There’s no food or bar, just a room. Ask for one away from the front, since the busy road is noisy. The shower drain was blocked, but I reported it and a man came within minutes to fix it. They didn’t clean the room daily, and the female receptionist seemed more interested in her phone than in guests.

The rooms and service were really good compared with other hotels, and the people were nice and relaxed. There are also lots of great places nearby to visit, which made this a great hotel for me.

After housekeeping cleaned my room, I found that my jewelry was missing. The hotel wouldn’t take responsibility. They should make sure their staff aren’t stealing.
