It was clean, which was the one good thing. The house has four floors, and trucks passing by make the bed shake. There isn’t a real window, just a hot metal door. Even the toilet window is only a square opening in the wall, so it gets hot.

The staff were super nice, and the location near the market was convenient. The first floor was clean, but the room upstairs had cockroaches.

We’d gotten lost and were hungry in HCM, with time before a late afternoon meeting, when we happened upon this place. The couple running it were lovely, and the food was excellent, served on old crockery. The restaurant feels a bit like a museum, with things like record players and sewing machines that took me back to childhood. We listened to a James Last LP and some VN music. Well done, both of you!

Noise from outside disturbed my sleep. The materials used here don’t block sound well.

Believe me, staying here is something you’ll want to avoid.
