Kay/Hoang Nam at the front desk was the highlight of my visit. The receptionist was welcoming and professional, and went out of the way to make sure every detail was right. Kay’s helpful, enthusiastic attitude made me feel at home, whether sharing local tips or making check-in smooth. KunKin Luxury Hotel itself is a beautiful, modern oasis in a quiet local neighborhood, a peaceful break from the city’s hustle.

The room looked just like the photos, maybe a little smaller, and the entrance is easy to spot. The rest of the staff were helpful, polite, and spoke English well. But the standout was Nhat Duy at the front desk. He was informative and courteous on the phone, made check-in easy, and even got me laughing when I needed it. I left in a much better mood. I really don't understand the low rating. This is the best of the best, and I'd happily recommend it. Thanks so much, my friend Nhat 🥹🙏❤️

Quang helped me with the sales side and was friendly, patient, and supportive while working around my requests and schedule. I moved to Kunkin later, and he still helps whenever I need something. While I was staying on Binh Thanh street, Phương came to clean twice a week. My room and clothes stayed clean and smelled nice. It's a nice place with good service.

Room service and security staff have been super nice, and otherwise things have been good. The maintenance staff could use a better attitude with customers, though. I asked for help troubleshooting, not to be talked down to about what to do when I hadn't asked for instructions.

Our Duplex studio with Balcony and Cafe view was booked through Booking.com for 5 days, 4 nights, and cost $196 sgd. For the price, especially compared with 3-star hotels in Singapore starting at $80 a night, it was a good deal. The bed is upstairs, there are bidets, and the room had a stove, microwave, fridge, and kitchen sink. The balcony looks toward a church, and the other guests were quiet and considerate. Everything was very clean, including the sinks, toilet, floors, and carpets. The apartment is clearly older, with old taps and pipes, but they were meticulously cleaned. Air conditioning was cold and well maintained, and we could ask for daily room cleaning with fresh sheets, towels, and amenities. The room's ventilation seemed less effective: even with the bathroom fan on, the smell after using the toilet lingered a bit in room 901. It wasn't a big problem for us, but the staff may want to check it. There are plenty of shops and food options nearby if you Grab to get there. On foot, the nearest convenience store or cafe is a little way out. Breakfast isn't provided, so you can order GrabFood or walk to nearby cafes, which I'd recommend. Take care crossing the road, since it's a two-way street. The staff were very polite and went out of their way for guests, including helping with luggage without being asked. One night I ran out of toilet paper and went to the 24 hr reception. Housekeeping was closed, so they offered me a half-used roll from behind the counter. When I asked if he needed it, the staff member said it was only used to wipe spills or stains on the counter and that I could have it. After checkout I realized I'd left something in the fridge. I messaged the hotel through Booking.com and heard back within ten minutes that they'd ask room service. At first they said the staff didn't know what it was and had discarded it, but then they followed up to say it had been found clean and intact and hadn't been thrown away. I asked them to leave it with my friend staying in KunKin. The team were friendly, welcoming, and quick to help. I felt bittersweet leaving and will be back. KunKin seems suited to longer stays, with residents living there, and you can try the place out.
