The other guests were friendly and helped create a nice atmosphere, and the room was decent, with a comfortable bed and a hot shower that worked reliably. The place was acceptable for the price, but it didn't have the warm, welcoming feel that makes you feel at home. Service was one of the poorest we experienced in our two months in Vietnam. Staff were easy to talk to when discussing activities they proposed, though we didn't book any. When we needed help, they were much less useful. Our basic questions and requests about room problems, including the air conditioning and fan not working properly, got unfriendly and ineffective responses. The laundry came back well done and promptly, but at 40,000 VND per kilo it was a little more expensive than at other places we'd stayed.

The breakfast was included for us and was good, though a bit basic. At night it was quiet, and the rooms were really lovely, with comfortable beds and a cute vibe. The receptionist was very friendly, answered all my questions in English over WhatsApp at length, and helped me organize so many things. They also offered very competitive prices for tours and buses and were honest throughout.

The place is right in Cat Ba city, so everything is close, and the price is very reasonable compared with other places. This has been the best service and hotel I've had in Vietnam so far. They cook breakfast for you, and Quan is very friendly. Highly recommend.

We booked at the last minute and still got a very cheap price. The room was clean and looked exactly like the online photos. We’d definitely stay again when we return to Cát Bà. Highly recommend.

The staff were really kind and helpful, and the clean, beautiful room looked just like the website. Town, restaurants, and bars are only a 2 minute walk away. 10/10.
