We had a valid Agoda reservation for two people, and my boyfriend showed the receptionist his original passport. Agoda’s policy seemed strict about providing a physical ID copy in the booker’s name, and we followed that. But the receptionist still refused to check me in because I didn’t have my physical passport with me. I offered a photo of it and all the needed information, but that didn’t help. I live in Phan Rang, about six hours away, so going back to get it was obviously impossible. Even after I explained, the receptionist wouldn’t consider a reasonable solution. It caused needless delays and made what should have been a simple check-in feel like a set of man-made obstacles, especially since one guest had already shown a passport. For a 3-star hotel, I expected some hospitality, flexibility, or problem-solving. Instead the experience felt rigid and unhelpful. After this, I wouldn’t consider staying here or at another branch.

The upstairs terrace has a beautiful sunrise view, and I really appreciated the filtered distilled water provided each day. You can refill bottles whenever you need on the basement floor. There’s also a laundry machine, with detergent provided, which was very useful. Staff were super helpful with questions about the amenities and very attentive about asking what time we wanted the room made up each day so they wouldn’t disturb us. Check-out was seamless. The district has lots of restaurants and is easy to get around with Grab, while keeping you outside District 1’s hustle and bustle. I’d definitely stay here again when I’m back in HCMC.

The location is convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room at M Village Living Tran Nao was clean, simply designed, and comfortable, with the basics covered. There wasn’t a TV, but we don’t really use one, so it didn’t matter to us.

The Riverbank by night is incredible. The room was very clean and the bed super comfortable. The hotel is a bit outside the city center, but a Grab taxi gets you in and out quickly, so I had a very nice stay.

The staff were so welcoming and kind, especially Ms. Tien, Ms. Minh and Mr. Hoang, who went above and beyond to look after us. The service was top notch. Our room was gorgeous, with a lovely river and city view from the balcony. Free laundry came with the booking and was very useful. We had an amazing time, and I’d recommend it 10 out of 10!
