Mecozy Apartel

Mecozy was a nice break from the noise and bustle of District 1. It’s not too far from there or the airport, and Grab fares to District 1 weren’t too expensive, so transport costs were reasonable. There are good places to eat and convenience stores nearby too. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a cozy feel. The staff were trustworthy and kind, and communicated well. We really enjoyed staying here.

The room was big and clean, with a good mattress. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s well located, within walking distance of lots of restaurants and bars, yet quiet on a side street.

Update, Feb 2024: I came back for a longer stay and it was a disaster. There are now many beer clubs nearby, as well as weekend walking streets where every street vendor brings a speaker and plays music as loudly as possible. Otherwise the beer clubs keep going with their “dzooo” calls even after midnight. Forget sleeping early. The soundproofing is bad. You hear doors opening, and even people upstairs flushing the toilet. If you’re on the second floor by the dining area, people turn the lights on a lot, even late at night, and it gets noisy. Maintenance is poor too. The bathroom facilities are broken, the hair dryer doesn’t work, and they only provide big towels. The toilet paper is worse than what you’d find in a public restroom. I’ve had enough and won’t come back. On my earlier stay, the alley itself was really quiet despite being on a busy street. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the room stayed cool during the day without AC. There was a dining area on the first or second floor. The room had an electric stove but no cooking utensils 😂😂😂. The price was a bit high, but I thought it was worth it. The daytime staff member was nice and helpful, let me check in early, and helped when I needed something.

We booked Mecozy Apartel on the day of our stay, June 27, 2024, for two days and one night. After the long trip from Nha Trang, being allowed to check in as early as 12:30 pm was a real relief. Mr. Bao was especially helpful and accommodating. The value was excellent and the service was top-notch, deserving of five stars. I highly recommend it for a comfortable stay.
