We were here for five nights, and the location was definitely too far from the city centre to walk. The late night and early morning construction was rough too, with vacuuming, drilling, and hammering. But the worst part was the receptionist, a man who yelled at us and demanded money. I also saw him raise his voice at another tourist who had just arrived. That first encounter pretty much traumatized us for the whole trip.

The rooms were clean, and I did manage to get some sleep. There's a 7/11 nearby where I could pick up what I needed. But on the third night there was a terrible smell, and I couldn't breathe in the room. Someone seemed to have been smoking inside, though the staff said that couldn't happen. The first two nights had been much better. They eventually gave me a clean room after some negotiation. At first they asked for extra money, but they cancelled the added charges when I checked out. I'd written the week before arriving to say absolutely no smoking. The staff communicate through Google Translator, but it's understandable.

The staff were really friendly, and getting to district 1 took just 15 minutes by taxi. The location worked well for me, and I'd stay here again without a problem.

The VIP room had a nice view. The receptionist was friendly, and the hotel is about 15 minutes from central Ho Chi Minh city and 5 minutes from district 7.
