Nguyen Thanh Hotel

The owner and his family are really kind and friendly, and the locals around here are wonderful. People are friendly and happy to chat when they speak some English. There's also a nice rooftop where you can relax in the evening. My only gripes were that the rooms were a little dusty and there wasn't a shared place to hang out. The rooms are lovely and especially nice if you get a balcony. They're quiet at night and have a fan, air-conditioning, and good bathrooms. Just remember to leave your key at reception when you head out. Laundry is available at the hotel for VND 10,000 per kg, and you can order food and drinks from the bar fridge. The location is excellent, in an area where lots of students live, so buses into the city come frequently. Google Maps makes it easy to get around. At the time of my stay, the metro was free for 30 days, as were the buses leading to it, so you could travel FOR FREE 🤯. There are good places to eat all around, and $1.50 USD gets you a filling meal.
