The room itself was spacious and great, and the bed was comfortable. But the bathroom smelled so strongly of mold that the smell spread through the whole room, and everything else fell short. Getting in and out also felt awkward because you had to pass through the restaurant. We stayed four nights. If the bathroom hadn't been an issue, I'd stay again, though this experience made me wary of trying other OYO hotels.

The room had a nice window and balcony, but the wardrobe was wedged between the bed and wall and was basically unusable. The mattress was in poor shape, and there was a bad smell. Bubbles, possibly soap, kept appearing in the bathroom even though we hadn't used the shower. Staff knew a little English. I handed over clothes for washing, but they forgot to wash them and didn't mention it until I asked as I was leaving. It's an okay option if you have no other choice.
This is a very basic hotel, so services are limited. The TV has no channels and is only for online streaming. The bathroom has a Western toilet, but the shower is open with no divider, so water gets across the whole floor. The location is a real plus: there's a food market on the street, and Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, Bitexco Tower, and Ben Thanh Market are walkable. It can get chaotic outside, but street food is close by, and the area is much better than the noisy backpacker strip on Bui Vien/ Pham Ngu Lao. A cheap choice downtown for backpackers or solo travelers.
The staff were very helpful, and the location is good. Still, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned when I checked in, and there's a sewage problem: water doesn't drain during a shower, so it floods. They also don't provide enough toilet paper.
My room on the fourth floor, room 401, was incredibly hot, and the AC was slow. It felt like being in a sauna. There was barely any water coming from the faucet, too. At night, they shut the garage and entrance gate early, so you couldn't invite anyone over. They should leave it open and have security instead.
