Paragon Saigon Hotel

The location was the only good part of our stay. We were in a family suite on level 8, and the bathrooms were so dirty that we had to ask for one to be cleaned before we could use it. Even after asking, the washrooms in the hotel weren’t cleaned. The rooms are larger than at standard hotels, but the experience overall was poor. Breakfast was below average, with few vegetarian choices. Most of the reception staff weren’t smiling or accommodating. NHi was the exception, and she was very helpful. We won’t come back. There are better hotels nearby with better options.

The breakfast buffet was one of the best I had on my trip, with great coffee and even a mini Banh Mi station. Staff stayed polite and professional, and reception was helpful and apologetic when we raised an issue. Our first room smelled like dirt, which turned out to be from the dirty air con. They helped move us, but we waited two hours for the new rooms to be cleaned so our family of four, including two young children, could have rooms next to each other. We didn’t want to be on separate floors. The new rooms were much better, though the place still needs maintenance or a really good clean. Since it was late, they couldn’t offer adjoining rooms or another family room, so we ended up split up. The markets were a 10-minute walk away, and the war remnants museum was about 20 minutes on foot.

It’s a lovely hotel, and the room has a simple, nice design. The bathroom’s seated bathtub is wide and practical. Breakfast is served in a pleasant restaurant, and the food is decent. The staff are polite and attentive, especially Thang, who looked after me during my stay. Great location, about a 10-minute walk to Ben Thanh market. I’ll come back.

The location made it easy to walk to shops and major shopping centres, and the property itself is lovely. The service was what really stood out. Truong, the Bellman, was friendly, attentive, and very professional. My mum was particularly pleased with Vy, the waitress, who was always ready to help us with whatever we needed. We had a wonderful stay at Paragon Saigon Hotel and highly recommend it.
