Phong Lan 2 Hotel

The smell was so bad that I don't recommend this hotel to foreign visitors or anyone who needs a clean place. I booked it because it was close to my dinner appointment, and I had seen the comments about smelly rooms. There were plenty of positive reviews too, so I thought those complaints might just be bad luck. They weren't. The odor was strong enough that some people, myself included, might not be able to sleep. I can't capture a smell in a recording, but the "floor towel" in the bathroom gives you an idea. At first I thought it came from that towel, but it seemed to be coming from everywhere, including the pillows, sheets, mattress, and bath towels. When I checked in and out, the receptionist and security guard just sat and watched me carry my heavy luggage upstairs.
