Half Coffee N Dorm

We spent one night in a shared room. The hostel feels calm and comfortable, the owner was warm and welcoming, and the pets made a lovely first impression when we arrived. The bathroom was quite dirty, though. There was mould and grime on the shower walls and behind the sink, urine around the toilet seat, a full bin, lots of hair on the floor, and stained, unclean glass in the shower. I know it’s shared, but taking a shower in those conditions was unpleasant. If they improve the cleanliness, I’m sure the stay could be 10/10.

The private room had a window with lovely natural light, and the beds and toilet were clean and comfortable. Staff were nice and quick to respond, and even shared food recommendations. It’s in a quiet part of Binh Thanh, with Grab bikes easy to get to and from. Bars are just a few minutes away, and there’s street food, a pharmacy, and a convenience store nearby. The two resident cats and one dog were a lovely bonus. The floors and shelves were a bit dusty during my June stay, and the aircon started leaking on the second night, which was distracting. Those weren’t major issues for me, so I’d still give it five stars and recommend staying here.

The dorm was quiet, with really cozy beds, and the bathroom was good, though it could use a deep clean. The team were super friendly and gave us lots of tips for the area and Ho Chi Minh City. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. The hostel and coffee were super nice :)

The area is calm, and both the staff and owner are really friendly. For a decent price, they offer a bed and breakfast, and the lovely pets keep you company, too. A nice little place that’s underrated.
