Qcub3 Homestay

I liked the location, with tourist sights not too far away and lots of cafes and good places to eat nearby. The place was very clean, and the owner replied quickly. I had a floor to myself, basically. The restroom was outside my room, but it was for my use only. I liked the stay enough to add another night. There's a small shared kitchen downstairs, and the laundry is on the roof. The main drawback was the construction noise early in the morning. Earplugs helped me keep sleeping.

Room 4 was compact and just like the pictures. It had no TV, but was clean, quiet, and had what I needed. The private bathroom is outside the room, so I had to lock up before going out for a shower. The water heater wasn't working on my first day. The host responded right away and got it fixed by the next afternoon, which I really appreciated. I also loved the balcony outside Room 4, a nice spot to sit with coffee or read. The setting has a local feel, tucked down a small alley inside a bigger one. Cars can't reach the door, though bikes can, and it's a short walk from there. I had trouble finding it at first because there was no sign or address plate. Getting in can be awkward with big luggage or mobility issues, since there are steps and a heavy main door. This is a welcoming homestay, not a hotel, and that more personal feel suited me. It was good value, with helpful hosting and essentials like Wi-Fi, outlets and hot water. The outdoor spaces have a lot of charm. Just keep in mind that the bathrooms aren't ensuite.

The bathroom was the worst part of our stay. The shower was covered in mold and hair, and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. It felt far from clean, which is the least I'd expect when welcoming guests. The bed was uncomfortable too, with a dip that kept rolling us toward the middle. The building was noisy, and we were woken several times by the loud front door opening while we slept on the first floor. There were some nice extras for the price, including free laundry and a small kitchen with free noodles, but those problems made the stay less comfortable.

A nice budget hotel, with a very polite owner who was happy to help. We needed a bungee cord for our motorbike, and he pointed us to the right place. There are free noodles in the kitchen too. As other guests mention, the bathroom is outside the room. Somehow that gives the place a more homely feel.
