Phu Gia Hotel 99-101 Him Lam

We’d stayed at the Phu Gia before and had a few small issues, nothing major, but this visit was poor. Our top floor suite booking was for three nights. The room was hot because the AC was useless, the wifi didn’t work, and there was no fridge. No dishes or cutlery either, not even a spoon. They said they’d sort everything out, but nothing got fixed.

A solid basic hotel. I’ll definitely be back 🌹💐👍

The location made it easy to get around, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms looked lovely, smelled nice, and the whole hotel was very clean. I’ll come back if I get the chance.

I rented a room by the hour and checked in around 7 PM. The receptionist mentioned a 50k VND surcharge after 10 PM, but when I left at 11 PM they charged me the overnight price plus another 100k VND for early check-in. Nobody had said the overnight rate would kick in after 10, even though this was an hourly rental. If that rate applied at 10 PM, why didn’t anyone call then to ask whether I wanted to stay overnight? And at checkout, why not tell me the price and ask first? The receptionist was unprofessional, the explanation was vague, and the hourly rental rules weren’t made clear. Anyone booking by the hour should watch out for this.
