The check-in turned into a mess. I arrived early from the airport to drop off my bags, and luckily someone was there at the unmanned “hotel” tucked down a back street. The woman told me something in English that I didn’t fully understand, but I got that check-in was at 2pm, so I came back then. There was nobody around. After trying three different phone numbers and waiting roughly 40 minutes to an hour, I was told to pick up my luggage and leave. They had rooms and my booking confirmation, so I can only guess they disliked the price I’d paid through Booking dot com. I was left stranded around 3-4pm trying to find somewhere else. The rooms might be great, but the place is unmanned, communication was poor, and the staff handled it badly. It felt like a “look after yourself” room, not a hotel service. There are loads of hotels in Saigon, so don’t bother with this one. What an absolute joke of an experience.

I went to the Google address without checking the reviews first, then lost over 30 minutes with my luggage before I checked the booking properly and found a different address. When I finally got to the hotel, nobody was inside, and I had to wait another 40 minutes. Absolutely unacceptable.

The hotel itself is fine, but make sure you go to the right place: 240 Le Thanh Ton, near Ben Thanh Market, at the back of the alley.

For directions, look up "Shop Miu" because the address on Google Maps is different and can take you somewhere else entirely. The hotel is in a quiet alley across from Ben Thanh. There’s no elevator, but for the price the condition is excellent. It’s clean, has Samsung air conditioners, and the staff are friendly. Please come twice!

For the price, everything was good. It’s tucked in a quiet alley, quite close to Ben Thanh Market, and has clean, comfortable rooms. The place feels cozy and charming, like a homestay, and the staff are cheerful and friendly.
