I had no trouble staying here with my Vietnamese girlfriend, though other places wouldn't let her stay with me. The place was good and away from tourists and scams. The staff didn't understand much English, but they tried their best to help. You get what you pay for, and if you're traveling with a girl, don't book a room without a window.

The location felt a bit far from the places we wanted to visit. Still, the room was spacious for the price, with a good bathroom and a huge TV, and the English-language channels were a nice bonus. The rooms and amenities were great, and the staff were friendly and helpful with all our requests.

Lotus Laverne is tucked down an alley in NTL, right beside a fruit juice shop, so it might take a little finding. The neighborhood is quiet and away from the bustle, yet there are plenty of food stalls just a short walk away and the city is 10 minutes away. The rooms are good for the price, but the service stood out most. Thuận at reception was especially helpful, and speaks good English if you need assistance as a foreigner.
