Riverside Serviced Apartments

We’ve stayed here several times, and the location has always been fantastic. Lots of restaurants and bars are close enough to walk to, including Orient Bar. The resort also offers a bus shuttle and water taxi. For getting around independently, it’s well worth installing the GRAB app. It makes travel easy and affordable, even for longer trips, such as to Vung Tau.

The apartment has plenty of space, with a kitchen and living area, and it was clean and well equipped. The river view is beautiful in the morning and around sunset. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the pool and gym were well maintained. It’s a quiet, peaceful place that seems suited to families or longer stays, though getting to District 1 takes transportation because it’s a bit far. A good option for comfort, room to spread out, and a calm setting away from the city center.

We went with our family group and had a really enjoyable stay. The restaurant, pool, playground, and surrounding area were all quite kid friendly. We also explored the neighborhood and found authentic pho and other dishes.

I’ve been staying here temporarily, and I’ve really appreciated the housekeeping and customer service teams, as well as the community. The residents are lovely, respectful, and family-oriented. That’s one of the best parts of living here. My experience with security, though, was appalling and completely unacceptable. It has shattered my confidence in how the gate is managed. I ordered a simple Grab delivery and waited a long time on the ground floor with my toddler before finding out the rider was stuck at the gate. I walked there in the scorching heat with my toddler, and the rider confirmed in front of the guards that they had refused entry. When I questioned them, they were evasive and dismissive. They told me to “go talk to customer service.” When I asked for their supervisor, they made excuses. They said the manager was on leave, which may have been true, but still wouldn’t take responsibility. Things got worse when another security team member arrived. He was aggressive and completely unprofessional in his manner. Instead of listening or trying to calm things down, he raised his voice, argued, and met my frustration with hostility. He angrily blamed another security post, as if they weren’t part of the same company and bound by the same SOPs. It was ridiculous. His behavior is unfit for a public-facing role, especially in what’s supposed to be a family-friendly, cultured environment. The whole incident was infuriating and deeply disappointing. Security staff need urgent retraining, and the guard involved should be removed from any role dealing with residents or the public. His repulsive manner has no place in this community. I’ve attached the name of the guard who is clearly the weakest link in an otherwise lovely community.
