Ruby RiverGate Apartments

I booked through booking.com, where the listing had a 9.5 score, but was nearly at 3 pm when I got a cancellation with no notice. Before that, if you arrived before 3, you had to wait in a cafe. When I asked what had happened, he told me to book again immediately, then they went quiet, leaving me to find somewhere for the whole trip. This building has many apartment owners. The booking.com listing was called Saigon Home Apartment infinity pool. Be careful booking this one through booking.com.

We were left on the stairs and had to find somewhere else to stay. The owner had asked for our passports that morning for check-in, but when I messaged in the evening saying I was five minutes away, he said he couldn’t accommodate us anymore and asked us to cancel. The booking was non-refundable, so cancelling would have meant losing the money. Avoid at all costs.

We loved our stay and had such a great time. Didn’t know luxury apartments could be this affordable. For the price, it was worth it. We booked through Goby homes.

The room was disgusting when we finally got shown in: blood on the pillow sheets, hair and dirt across the floor, and wet towels left on the bathroom floor. We’d already been left waiting outside for an hour and a half without an explanation. There’s a big sign outside saying short lets of the apartments for Airbnb are illegal, so I guess the rental is illegal and there’s no official staff working there to clean it. It doesn’t deserve even one star. Don’t go.
