The hotel sells itself as premium, but the rooms are dirty and have a lingering bad smell. Our shower had black mold, the drain was blocked, and the towels barely dried us. After a shower I felt dirtier, which was especially unpleasant after a long flight. The bathroom was also grimy, and staff had apparently been using my room as their own just seconds before I arrived. Staff were flippant and patronizing. If you understand Vietnamese, you'll hear comments about how rich guests must be because they're staying at a "nice" hotel. Being stuck in the elevator while staff go on about your supposed wealth is uncomfortable. You're not rich, but they keep assuming you are. It gives you the ick. The location is a very busy side street, making it awkward to get in and out. The hotel also rents rooms by the hour and offers a discount for two hours, something they don't show online. That says a lot about who their main customers are, since there are only so many reasons to book a room for just two hours. It also helps explain the grimy feeling. You can find somewhere nicer for much less if you move a little farther from the airport. If you want black mold, sewer smells, seedy neighbors, and people looking at you like an open purse, this is your place. If you want to relax, go anywhere else.

Cigarette smoke greeted us when we arrived, even though there's a no-smoking sign and people still smoke inside. There are odd noises from outside near the stairway, and the rooms smell strange too. Bad value, bad service, and the staff service was the worst. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The bathroom was nice, but this was still my worst hotel experience in Ho Chi Minh. There was dust everywhere, including under the bed and on the fan. The room smelled of something like rubber, old wood, and something else. We didn't pay much attention at first, but then couldn't sleep. There was no fresh air, and opening the small window onto the stairwell only brought in cigarette smoke. I'm allergic to dust and cigarettes, so it was a perfect storm. I had an asthma attack, and we left the room and hotel. The receptionist just took our keys and said there were no other rooms available, without offering any help. At midnight we had to find somewhere else and pay twice as much. For this price, there are better choices in the city center, so I'd head straight there after the airport. This was the dustiest place we've ever stayed. I wouldn't come back or recommend it.

The room was clean and inexpensive, which worked well for a short stay. Staff were really kind and helpful too. The only downside was a slightly odd smell in the bathroom. I liked my stay and would recommend it, 4 out of 5.

I booked one night through Airbnb, but when I arrived late at night, the place was no longer called Leha airport hotel and they wouldn't let me in. I was left without somewhere to stay on my first night in Vietnam. I guess things can only improve from here.
