Saigon River Boutique Hotel

After a long time away, I recently stayed at Sai Gon Hotel again. The facilities and service used to feel lacking, but the improvements are now quite noticeable, especially the in-room amenities. The staff's attitude has also improved, which I appreciate. Thank you, and I hope you keep up this progress.

Sorry, this turned into a long story. We booked because the hotel had a pool and sauna. At check-in I asked when the pool was open. They said 7 a.m. to 6 a.m., which wasn't convenient for us, but okay. The next day, after breakfast, we went to swim and found the sauna was cold. I hadn't asked its hours because I assumed the pool and sauna would operate together. The second day we couldn't use the pool because it was so cold without the sauna. On the third day, I went at a time when both were supposed to be operating, but the sauna still wasn't on. I went to reception for the third time to ask when we could actually use the pool and sauna. That's when staff told me I had to book the sauna beforehand. Seriously? I'd asked about it several times, and only found out on day three that booking was required. They said they'd switch it on right away, but we sat in a cold sauna for 45 minutes before it reached 55 C. We agreed that next time I'd call reception in advance. Then, surprise, the next day I saw a sign opposite the elevator saying the pool would be closed because the hotel had a private event.

The rooms are spotless, and everyone was kind and ready to help. The front desk staff and doormen were especially welcoming. For the price, the service feels like what you’d expect at a luxury hotel. It’s right in the city center. Thank you!

Breakfast was delicious, and the room was comfortable. The facilities are well maintained too. A good hotel.
