There’s no phone in the room, and when I tried the reception three or four times from the top of the stairs, nobody showed up, even though my room was on the first floor. I’m frustrated enough to give this place two stars. It’s in a busy part of Saigon, next to Tan Son Nhat Airport, with lots of tourists all year, but the service quality is poor. Is this really what a 2-star hotel is like? The room was very dirty and badly cleaned. It smelled foul when I came in, the floor felt greasy and sticky, and the towels and bedsheets were filthy. The toilet trash smelled bad too, and staff hadn’t replenished or checked the shampoo and soap. Very, very bad.

This feels more like a guesthouse than a hotel. The room is small, and the Wi-Fi is so weak that once the door is closed it’s unusable. 3G and 4G barely work either, showing only an E, and 2G is no use at all. The morning receptionist spoke as if I were asking for a favor or staying without paying. Early one morning, when I was getting my vehicle to leave, I asked the receptionist for the Wi-Fi password so I could use Google Maps to find a shorter way home. He asked me, “What have you been using all night?” I said it was my first time there and 3G/4G didn’t work, so what could I have been using? In the end, he never gave me the password. If you’re staying there for the first time, pay attention to how the morning receptionist (the bald guy) talks to and treats you, and see if it matches what I’ve described.
